| A Slice of Heaven! Our high quality cakes are baked daily in Barbados. The trademark ingredient is a generous amount of premium Rum. Each cake is individually hand-glazed with rum before packaging. Our vacuum-sealing process ensures a shelf life of six months and will keep indefinitely if refrigerated or frozen. The recipe is over one hundred years old and has been passed down from mother to daughter throughout the years. It is a great family tradition and we are pleased it has been enjoyed by so many. |
| Bakers Choice Inc. is a relatively young company, which began trading in November 1996 when it introduced freshly baked bagels to the Barbados market. From the initial stages distribution of bagels throughout the Caribbean was a foresight, which became reality in the early months of operation, as there were no other specialized bagel manufacturers with wholesale distribution to supermarkets in the Eastern Caribbean. At the beginning of 1997 Bakers Choice (Barbados) Inc., through their constant search to break new ground in the baking industry, embarked on the new idea of creating a Caribbean Great Cake as a gourmet food gift item. The product was developed and a unique and extremely traditional Caribbean package was designed so that in November, 1997 Bakers Choice with the branding of Mount Gay Barbados Rum - one of the world’s oldest and finest rums - launched the Mount Gay Caribbean Great Cake, the first of its kind in the Eastern Caribbean. During 1998, to enhance their product line, Bakers Choice began to manufacture (under license) the Tortuga Caribbean Rum Cake, A Taste of Barbados, for distribution locally and throughout the Eastern Caribbean. This relationship has grown with Bakers Choice now supplying the Tortuga Rum Company with cakes for world wide distribution through Mail and Internet orders. |

| The cake is vacuum packed and has a shelf life of over eight months. Rum is the main preservative used in this product. Refrigeration will prolong shelf life of the cake indefinitely without changing the quality or taste. Always refrigerate after opening. Microwave cake and add ice cream for a delicious dessert item.
